Biante Website Release & COVID-19 Update - Thursday, March 19th

B182717X - 1:18 HOLDEN VFII COMMODORE DIRECTOR 2017
SON OF A GUN GREY

LIMITED EDITION OF 402 PIECES

Biante Model Cars are very pleased to present the stunning 1:18 2017 Holden VFII Commodore Director in Son of a Gun Grey.

To celebrate the last year of locally built Commodores, Holden introduced the Motorsport Edition range to the public. They consisted of the ‘Magnum’ - an SS V-based ute, the ‘Motorsport Edition’ - an SS V-based sedan and the ‘Director’ - a Calais V-based sedan. The latter being what we see above.

The Director sedan featured all the fruit from the standard Calais V, but also added the four mode Magnetic Ride Control system (a feature previously only given to HSVs), together with some suspension, brake, and wheel upgrades. The other major area of difference was the exclusive cosmetic package which featured an embroidered dash, a black painted roof, red highlighted front grille, new red-lined alloys, unique badging, individual vehicle numbering, alloy pedals, six-speed automatic transmission, heated seats, and a special unique build option code ‘DIR’. Which of course stands for Director. Only 360 of these beauties were produced with 250 offered to the public. The rest were made available to Holden dealers and staff.

The Director has been produced in die-cast with fully opening parts featuring faithfully replicated interior, staggered wheels with road-going tyres, photo-etched parts, beautifully presented detailing and outstanding finishing all round.

It’s an exceptional model of a car that will one day be considered a classic, given its end-of-the-line status as the Holden name began fading into the history books.

As with all Biante 1:18 scale models, this item has been produced in a limited edition and comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

This model will be available to purchase online at biante.com.au from 12:00 pm WST (3:00 pm AEDT), Thursday, March 19th.

COVID-19 Update

As we are all more than aware, the world is currently sailing through previously uncharted waters in dealing with the global outbreak of COVID-19 and we’d like to take this time to update you on what Biante is doing to smooth out deliveries and manage progress through this unstable time.

While production capacity and freight scheduling is being affected, we are in constant communication with our factories in China reviewing production progress and output and our freight forwarders reviewing delivery schedules.

Current feedback from China is that restrictions in the movement of the population are gradually lifting with more workers are returning to the factories, so production capacity is increasing which is very positive news. Along with new production that is just starting, we also have several projects that were close to being completed prior to Chinese New Year which are starting to come through. While deliveries will be delayed in the coming months, we do still have new items coming for you to look forward to.

As each item reaches completion and we have a confirmed booking with our freight forwarder we will update the In Transit section of the Biante website. This is the best place for you to check if you are looking for information on what the next few releases are and when they will be arriving.

Like many businesses around the country we are currently implementing systems to have some parts of the business work from home. This includes Biante customer service which was transitioned this week. If you have recently contacted our customer service department please be patient as our team is trying to work through the large backlog as quickly as possible. For information on changes concerning StarTrack and Australia Post services, please click here.

We would like to thank you for your support and understanding in these uncertain times and rest assured we are doing all we can to minimise the disruption and keep a regular and constant flow of the models that you love to collect.
