HOLDEN VFII COMMODORE MOTORSPORT EDITION 2017
NITRATE SILVER
LIMITED EDITION OF 420 PIECES - RELEASED JULY 2019

To celebrate the last year of the locally built Commodore, Holden introduced the Motorsport Edition range to the public. They consisted of the Magnum - an SSV-based ute, the Director - a Calais-based sedan and the this Motorsport Edition - an SSV-based sedan.

The Motorsport Edition sedan featured all the fruit from the standard SSV Redline, but also added the Magnetic Ride Control system (a feature previously only given to HSVs), together with some suspension, brake, and wheel upgrades. The other major area of difference was the exclusive cosmetic package which featured an embroidered dash, a black painted roof, red or black driving light surrounds, red or black mirror scalps, new red-lined alloys, unique badging, unique decal set, individual vehicle numbering, and a special build option code ‘KOM’. Which of course stands for King of the Mountain — a reference to both Peter Brock and the fact Commodore won the Bathurst 1000 24 times.

Similar to our previous 1:18 Heron White version, the Nitrate Motorsport Edition has been produced in die-cast with fully opening parts, featuring a faithfully replicated interior, authentically replicated staggered wheels with road tyres, photo etched parts, beautifully presented detailing and outstanding finishing all round. It will also come with the optioned larger rear wing as a point of difference.

It’s an exceptional model of a car that will one day surely be considered an absolute classic and one for the history books.

As with all Biante 1:18 scale models, these have been produced in a limited edition and will come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

This item will be available to purchase online at biante.com.au from 12:00 midday (WST) Wednesday, July 3rd.
