Biante Website Releases - Wednesday January 16

This week we’re very pleased to be releasing the next two editions of the Holden VFII Commodore. These 2 being the 2017  SS-V Redlines in Spitfire Green, and the Motorsport Edition in Heron White. Both in the popular 1:18 scale.

B182717B 1:18 Scale 2017 Holden VFII Commodore SS-V Redline - Spitfire Green
Widely considered to be Holden’s last crack at producing a locally built Commodore, the Series 2 VF SS-V Redline is the flagship of the iconic Australian manufacturers range. With a 6.2 litre, 304kW LS3 V8 engine, 19 inch alloy wheels, electric tilt and slide sunroof, leather appointed interior, Brembo performance brakes and a raft of other features, this is an exceptional example of a modern, tough road car that has a relatively affordable price tag for the average punter.

B182717M 1:18 Scale 2017 Holden VFII Commodore Motorsport Edition - Heron White
The Motorsport Edition sedan featured all the fruit from the standard SSV Redline, but also added the Magnetic Ride Control system (a feature previously only given to HSV’s), together with some suspension, brake, and wheel upgrades. The other major area of difference was the exclusive cosmetic package which featured an embroidered dash, a black painted roof, red or black driving light surrounds, red or black mirror scalps, new red-lined alloys, unique badging, unique decal set, individual vehicle numbering, and a special build option code ‘KOM’. Which of course stands for King of the Mountain — a reference to both Peter Brock and the fact Commodore won the Bathurst 1000 24 times.

Both of these stunning models have been produced in die-cast with fully opening parts featuring, faithfully replicated interior, nicely replicated staggered wheels with road going tyres, photo etched parts, beautifully presented detailing and outstanding finishing all round.

Produced in very limited numbers and including a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, they will be available to purchase online at www.biante.com.au from 12 Midday WST Tomorrow, Wednesday January 16.

Also this week, we have something very special for Brock fans.

In 2003 Biante founders Bev and Trevor Young commissioned renowned Perth artist Peter Kendall to paint a portait of Peter Brock to be entered into the 2004 Archibald Prize competition. The portrait was extremely well received and was named a finalist in the competition, touring many state and regional galleries with the other 2004 finalists, as well as being displayed at Peter Brock’s State Funeral in 2006.

Peter Kendall has recently approved a collection of prints to be produced of the Brock portrait which are now available for purchase through the Biante website. These are all limited edition prints of the original portrait in three different formats.
